WHO WE ARE

OEOSC

The OEOSC was created in 1996 as a non-profit corporation for the purpose of developing standards that are important to the Optics community in the USA. It maintains certification with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to manage the development of domestic American standards in the Accredited Standards Committee for Optics (ASC OP). It maintains another certification with ANSI to manage the American Technical Advisory Group to the Optics and Photonics Technical Committee of the International Standards Organization (ANSI/OEOSC TAG to ISO TC172).

Membership Options

Membership in a standards committee (ASC OP or ISO TAG) allows for membership in the OEOSC.

 Join OEOSC

OEOSC welcomes all companies, organizations, and individuals interested in supporting standards development for optics.

Join ASC OP

Companies, organizations, and individuals who are materially interested in the development of American National Standards for optics are encouraged to apply for membership in ASC OP.

Join TAG to ISO TC172

All U.S. national interested parties who are directly and materially affected by the activity of the U.S. TAG may apply for membership.
